Around 40 amendments to international regulations on the agenda for the 66th FIL Congress

St. Leonhard near Salzburg (RWH): Participants at the 66th Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL) will vote on around 40 amendments to the International Luge Regulations when the event takes place in Bratislava (Slovakia) in mid-June. The proposed amendments are the result of the three commission meetings for the areas of artificial tracks (sports and technology) and natural tracks, as announced by the FIL’s Executive Director Christoph Schweiger after the meetings, which were held in St. Leonhard near Salzburg. As well as clarifying a number of points, the meetings also dealt with various applications from national associations, said Schweiger.
The commission meetings were chaired by the responsible Vice Presidents: Claire DelNegro for sport, Einars Fogelis for technology and Peter Knauseder for natural tracks. Representatives from the areas of marketing, youth/development and track construction also took part in specific agenda items.
While these meetings were going on, the President Josef Fendt and Secretary General Svein Romstad were also representing the FIL at the SportAccord events in Bangkok (Thailand).
