Austria and Germany share victories

Jonas Müller und Lisa Schulte, EBERSPÄCHER Mixed Weltcup presented by SKECHERS

Winterberg (FIL/05 Dec 2025) Winterberg (FIL/December 5, 2025) This start makes us want more races in the EBERSPÄCHER Mixed World Cup presented by Sketchers.

In the singles, just 0.123 seconds separated the winning duo Jonas Müller and Lisa Schulte (Austria/1:41.510 minutes) from the second placed Felix Loch and Julia Taubitz (Germany). After that, there was another Austrian-German duel. Wolfgang Kindl and Hannah Prock (0.528 seconds behind) took the podium ahead of Max Langenhan and Merle Fräbel (0.619). The two Latvian duos followed closely behind. Kristers Aparjods and Elina Bota (0.682) were faster than Gints Berzins and Kendija Aparjode (1.127).

“Our runs were pretty good,” said Taubitz, “so I thought we would catch the Austrians. But it wasn't enough.” Much to the delight of Jonas Müller and Lisa Schulte. “That's how you want to start the season,” said Schulte, “it gives us a lot of confidence for the individual races.” Müller was in front right from the start. “The material is extremly fast,” said Müller, “and then Lisa added another good run.”

Mixed Doubles, Winners Germany, Winterberg 2025

In the doubles, too, it was the expected duel between Germany and Austria. With the better end for the German quartet. Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt and Jessica Degenhardt/Cheyenne Rosenthal were 0.071 seconds faster than Thomas Steu/Wolfgang Kindl and Selina Egle/Lara Kipp with a time of 1:34.470 minutes. Third place went to the Latvian pair Martins Bots/Roberts Plume and Anda Upite/Madara Pavlova (0.608 seconds behind). Fourth place went to the second Austrian team (Yannick Müller/Armin Frauscher; Lina Riedl/Anna Lerch; 0.688).

“We had a good run,” said Tobias Wendl happily, "even though we were 0.007 seconds slower than Steu/Kindl. But there was already some frost on the track.“ Jessica Degenhardt was delighted: ”It was great to race again, and it's especially fun with the Tobis.“ Selina Egle was not entirely satisfied with her performance: ”We made a few mistakes in the maze."

Martins Bots was generally positive but critical in his assessment of third place: “It's always fun to race with the girls. The result doesn't necessarily reflect our performance and that of the women. Unfortunate circumstances involving others helped us more than our own performance.” He was thinking primarily of the second German quartet, in which Toni Eggert and Florian Müller crashed after a driving error in the maze.
