Thomas Kammerlander (AUT) is the big winner of the FIL Luge World Cup on natural track on the "Bergkristall"-track in Passeier (ITA). The World Cup winner of the last four years prevailed again on Sunday and celebrated a sovereign victory - as on Friday. In the team competition, the victory went to the hosts from Italy.

Best time in the first run, best time in the second run: There was no way to catch-up Thomas Kammerlander in the men's singles. In 1.49.96 minutes the 30-years-old relegated his teammates Michael Scheikl (+0.67 seconds) and Patrick Pigneter (ITA / + 1.09) to the places of honor. With this back-to-back victory Kammerlander reinforced his role as a favorite at the home World Championships from February 4th to 7th in Umhausen. “These two victories on Friday and Sunday came at exactly the right time, the dress rehearsal for the World Championships was a success. I have been preparing for the Championships for two years now, and I think that I will play an important role in the fight for the title there”, said Kammerlander.
