Beijing delegation visits Winterberg

Winterberg (RWH) A five-member delegation from Beijing attended the 48th World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Winterberg. The group of representatives from the Olympic host nation was led by Latvian Normunds Kotans who was on the organizing committee for Sochi (RUS/2014) and PyeongChang (KOR/2018), and Xudong Zhang.

The guests from the Orient took a look behind the scenes of a large-scale event, viewed the various function rooms and even helped to clear snow from the finishing area. According to Normunds Kotans, homologation of the new artificial ice track is planned for March 2020.
