Birgit Platzer, Johannes Ludwig and Walker-Snith winners of Nationscup

Winterberg (RWH) The winners of the Nationscup are Austria’s Birgit Platzer, Johannes Ludwig of Germany and in double’s race the team of Tristan Walker-Justin Snith from Canada. The Nationscup is the qualifying race for the Viessmann World Cup this weekend in Winterberg, Germany.

The 2013 Bronze Medalist of the World Championships at Whistler banned Latvia’s Kristers Aparjods to second place. Aparjods won Gold at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games at Lillehammer, Norway. Canada’s Sam Edney, who came back after a one year break, finished on third place. 

The women’s race was won by Austria’s Birgit Platzer. Second and third place went to Kimberley McRae and Alex Gough, both from Canada. Walker-Snith, 4th at the 2014 Olympics, banned  Oskars Gudramovics/Peteris Kalnins from Latvia and Florian Löffler/Florian Berkes from Germany. They are additional Starter and can not compete at Viessmann World Cup this saturday
