Berchtesgaden (FIL). Mr. Josef Fendt, President of the FIL and Mr. Jan Steler, Vice-President of the FIL, visited this year’s Bona-Cup, which took place in Kremenec in the Ukraine. On the fringe of this competition, Mr. Fendt and Mr. Steler met, among other people, the regional government in Lviv and Kremenec and the Vice-President of the Ukrainian National Olympic Committee, Mr. Ivan Federenko. During this visit, the importance to continue the development of the Ukrainian sport of luge has been emphasized. President Fendt: „Altogether, the visit in the Ukraine was very successful. The Bona Cup is gaining more and more importance in Eastern Eu-rope which makes me very happy as the sport of luge is becoming more and more popular.“

More than 90 athletes from 8 nations took part in this competition.
