Huefner, Zoeggeler and Plankensteiner-Haselrieder the current leaders

Calgary (pps) In its tenth anniversary season, the SUZUKI Challenge Cup will see its last stop in Calgary, Canada, next Friday (February 13). The just dethroned World champion Tatjana Huefner of Germany (200 points), World silver medallist Armin Zoeggeler (185) of Italy as well as his compatriots and 2009 World champions Gerhard Plankensteiner-Oswald Haselrieder (170) hold the top spots on the overall standings prior to the final in the Olympic host city of 1988.

In order to win the overall SUZUKI Challenge Cup crown, Tatjana Huefner just needs a third place since the 2006 Olympic bronze medallist is 30 points ahead of second-placed Natalie Geisenberger (Germany). Armin Zoeggeler would just need a fourth place, should his competitor and currently second-placed David Moeller of Germany (155 points) celebrate a victory in Calgary.

Gerhard Plankensteiner-Oswald Haselrieder have a big chance to win the overall SUZUKI Challenge Cup standings – a third place in Calgary would suffice – and to thus crown the most successful season of their careers so far.
