Catering manager of the “Kufenstüberl” retires

Berchtesgaden (FIL) On Sunday, September 27, 2020, FIL President Josef Fendt and Sports Manager Rudi Größwang presented the long-time head of catering of the Olympic “Kufenstüberl” Sigi Sigl with special sculpture made of glass in his traditional restaurant "Bachgütl" in Maria Gern near Berchtesgaden.

Sport manager Rudi Größwang thanked: “Sigi was our caterer in the “Kufenstüberl” for twelve years and at five Olympic Winter Games. All athletes from the ice track disciplines, their sponsors, fans and families found a piece of home and cosiness at major competitions all over the world. We owe the culinary delicacies to our Sigi!”

There will again be a traditional “Kufenstüberl” at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. “The concept and location of our “Kufenstüberl” in Beijing is already in place,” reported Rudi Größwang.
