Colourful opening show in Lausanne

Lausanne (RWH) Let the Games begin! A colourful show has opened the 2020 Winter Olympic Youth Games. The opening show place in the Vaudoise Aréna of Lausanne, till January 22 host the of the 2020 Youth Games, celebrated sport while displaying the spirit, the history and the traditions of Switzerland in a show blending innovation and creativity.

A total of more than 1.800 athletes from 79 nations will compete at the 3rd edition of Winter Youth Games. Lausanne follows Innsbruck (AUT / 2012) and Lillehammer (NOR / 2016) as host city of Winter Youth Games. The natural ice track of St. Moritz will be the location of all luge events, which will take place on January 17 to 20. Women’s double will be part of the Olympic programme for the first time ever. As a result there will be five decision on Luge.
