Committees prepare for the 64th FIL Congress

St. Leonhard (RWH) The special committees of the International Luge Federation (FIL) started preparations for the 64th FIL Congress in Lake Placid, NY, at their meeting on 15-16 April in St. Leonhard, just outside Salzburg. Some two months before delegates gather in the two-time Olympic city on 17-18 June, attendees of the meeting in St. Leonhard drafted proposed changes to the International Luge Regulations (IRO) which can then be adopted in Lake Placid.
FIL President Josef Fendt took the opportunity to extend a personal welcome to delegates before leaving for Lausanne (SUI) to attend the General Assembly of SportAccord, the umbrella organisation for all international sports federations. Members of the three special committees for artificial track luge (sport and technology) met in St. Leonhard, along with the sole committee for natural track luge.
