Continental Championships to be held in Oberhof and Lake Placid

Oslo (RWH) The International Luge Federation (FIL) will hold next winter’s continental championships in Oberhof (GER) and Lake Placid (USA).  The FIL’s Executive Board confirmed the decision at its meeting in Norway’s capital city.

The artificial track in Oberhof will host the 50th FIL European Championships on 9/10 February 2019. Lake Placid will provide the setting for the American-Pacific contest on 15/16 December 2018. At the events in Oberhof and Lake Placid, the continental titles will be awarded to athletes as part of a race-in-race setup during the Viessmann World Cup event.
