Oberhof (pps) Germany’s David Möller celebrated his 25th birthday by winning the Viessmann Luge World Cup at Oberhof. It was his second success of the season. The World Champion from 2004 won with best times in both runs and a total time of one minute 32,584 seconds followed by his team-mate Jan Eichhorn (1:33,117). Third place went to two times Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler (1:33,124) from Italy.
Canada’s Jeff Christie finished on 8th place. He realized the 4th time of the second run and moved up from 16th palce after first run.
In the overall standings Zöggeler is still in the lead with 515 points followed by Möller (475) and his team-mate Reinhold Rainer (320).
