Winterberg (pps) Germany’s David Möller won at 39th World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) at Igls (Austria) for the second time since 2004 the title and stepped out of the long shadow of luge legend Georg Hackl.

In the first winter after the retirement o the three-time Olympic Champion, Möller had an advantage of just seven thousands of a second before Italy’s two-time Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler. The Bronze medal went to Germany’s Jan Eichhorn, who was only 0.111 seconds back.
