Oberhof (RWH) David Möller, who collected a silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, has ended his active career. The 2004 and 2007 world champion announced in Oberhof that he was looking forward to facing new professional challenges and to spending more time with his family. The 32-year-old Thuringian, who brought home a total of ten victories in the Viessmann World Cup, has a baby daughter who was born last year.
“My 22 years in the sport of luge were wonderful and eventful, with so many great and emotional moments. I’ll never forget my world championship titles, my Olympic silver medal from Vancouver 2010 and my ten World Cup victories,” said Möller, who missed the podium by a long way at his third Olympic championships in Sochi, Russia.
