Whistler (pps) Germany’s two time World Champion David Möller realized a conciliatory conclusion of the pre-Olympic season. At the finale of the Viessmann Luge World Cup at “Whistler Sliding Center” in the up-coming track for the Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver he celebrated his first success of the Season. We won in a total time of one minute 39.919 seconds – it was his 8th victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup overall.
Second place went to Italy’s Armin Zöggeler, who for the eight times the overall standings of the Viessmann Luge World Cup. The two-time Olympic Champion as just 0.019 seconds back.
Current World Champion Felix Loch set a new track record in second run (46,808 seconds) and moved from 6th place up to three. Reaching 153,98 km/hrs he even set a new speed record for luge, so far the three-time Olympic Champion Georg Hackl (144,3) was the record holder.
