Quotes:
“After many second and third places it is simply good to win again on my home track, were I had my first successes. We had difficult conditions with rime in the first and soft ice in the second run. But I showed I can handle this the best.”
Armin Zöggeler (Olympic Champion 2002, 2006, World Champion 2003, 2005):
“I lost the race in the first run. Or maybe already at the drawing when David got the best starting place and I got the worst. From this position I am very satisfied with the second place.”
Stefan Höhener (Sixth at World-Championship 2005):
“I could have reached a better place. But in the second run I made mistakes like a beginner in the labyrinth. Even if the results don’t show this, I am this winter at the same level like season 2006/2007, when I already reached two third places.”
