Degenhardt/Rosenthal win women's doubles World Cup premiere

Innsbruck (FIL/3 Dec, 2022) The German women's doubles Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal continued exactly where they left off last season. The reigning World champions confidently took the premiere victory of the women's doubles in the FIL Luge World Cup. Previously held in the World Cup series with the juniors, the women's doubles will compete in the EBERSPÄCHER Luge World Cup for the first time in Igls on their way to the Olympic premiere in Milan-Cortina in 2026.
The German duo won ahead of the US-Americans and World Championship bronze medalists Chevonne Forgan and Sophia Kirkby (+0.256 sec.) and Viktorija Ziedina and Selina Zvilna from Latvia (+0.365 sec.). Summer Britcher and Emily Sweeney (USA, +0.450 sec.), who both compete this season not only in the singles but also in the women's doubles, provided a sign of respect in fourth place.
