Königssee (pps) Russia’s European Champion Albert Demtschenko celebrated at the Viessmann Luge World Cup at Königssee his first victory of the season. The Silver Medallist from the winter Games at Torino won in a total time of one minute 35,472 seconds. Second place went to Italy’s Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler (1:35,541) followed by David Möller (1:35,679) from Germany. Stefan Höhener from Switzerland realized the best time in second run and moved from 7th place up to 4th place.
Canada’s Jeff Christie (1:36,099) finished on 10th place followed by Tony Benshoof (1:36.247) from USA.
In the overall standings Zöggeler is still in the lead with 445 points followed bay Möller (375) and Demtschenko (304).
