Dominik Fischnaller wins in Innsbruck
Innsbruck (RWH) Italy’s Dominik Fischnaller celebrated the second Victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup in his career. At the season’s opener in Innsbruck the south Tyrolean, who won two years ago in Lillehammer (NOR) for the first time, had an advantage of six thousands of a second to Armin Frauscher from Austria. It was the best result ever for Frauscher. Third place went to Wolfgang Kindl (AUT), Bronze Medalist of the World Championships 2015.
Due to overweight of his sledge Olympic Champion Felix Loch, who was in the lead, from Germany was disqualified after the first run of Viessmann Luge World Cup at Innsbruck. “Human mistakes just happen”, said Norbert Loch, Head Coach of the German Team and Father of the four- time World Champion.
Felix Loch won all World Cup races in Innsbruck in the last five years as well as the premier of the FIL Sprint World Cup 2014/2015.
