Lake Placid (pps) Germany’s Toni Eggert/Marcel Oster defended their title at the Junior’s World Championships in Lake Placid (USA) successfully. They won ahead Chris Mazdzer/Jayson Terdiman from USA and Latvia’s Oskars Gudramovics/Peteris Kainins.
USA in the line-up with Chris Mazdzer, Kate Hansen und Chris Mazdzer/Jayson Terdiman captured the title in the Team competition. Silver went to Germany with Robert Fischer, Lisa Liebert and Toni Eggert/Marcel Oster followed by Team Austria (Manuel Pfister, Birgit Platzer and Reinhard Egger/David Schweiger).
Thanks two Gold Medals in the team Competition and the just 15 year old Kate Hansen in the women’s race the host nation (2 Gold – 1 Silver – 1 Bronze) was the most successful team at the 23rd Championships of the Juniors. Second place went to Germany (1 – 3 – 1) followed by Austria (1 – 0 -1) and Latvia (0 – 0- 1). Austria won Gold in the men’s race through Wolfgang Kindl.
