Einars Fogelis meets with Thomas Bach in Lausanne

Lausanne (FIL/01 Nov 2023) On November 1, 2023, a very productive working meeting took place at the IOC headquarters in Lausanne (SUI) between FIL President Einars Fogelis, colleagues from the Sports Department of the IOC and, above all, IOC President Thomas Bach.

The strategy of the sport of luge and winter sports in general up to the Olympic Winter Games 2026 and beyond was discussed. "We have a very good and constructive cooperation with the IOC. We have discussed strategic topics around the Olympic Winter Games, but also e-sports, organizational issues, luge sport and sledding as a mass sport. We are very satisfied and grateful for the very positive discussions," said Einars Fogelis.
