Ekaterina Lavrentyeva wins women's event at Moscow

Moscow (PMA) - Fourth Luge World Cup on Natural Track held at Moscow ends with a double-victory for Russia. Men's competition is won by doubles-specialist Aleksandr Egorov. He scores a maiden victory for the men's team of Russia. The women's event is won by Ekaterina Lavrentyeva in front of her home crowd.

While Egorov celebrated Russia's maiden victory at the men's event, Ekaterina Lavrentyeva achieved the 60th win for the Russian ladies on natural track. She scores a straight victory, after two impressive runs in qualification and competition. Second place went to Italian Evelin Lanthaler. She is leading at the overall World Cup and improves from fourth to second place. Lanthaler finishes six hundredths ahead of Austrian Tina Unterberger. Fourth place went Ludmila Astramovich from Russia. Greta Pinggera from Italy finished fifth.
