Emily Sweeney has finished her season

Oberhof (RWH) Emily Sweeney, bronze medallist of the 2019 World Championships, has finished her season. Due to a neck injury, the US American renounced the second run at the Viessmann Luge World in Oberhof, Germany. Later the 26-year-old Sweeney announced the end of her season and travelled back home.

Emily Sweeney is still suffering from the effects of a crash at the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang (KOR). The pain she endured following the crash nearly two years ago is still with her to this day. Coming back to the Viessmann World Cup in December 2018, she finished an incredible third place in Whistler, Canada.
