Innsbruck-Igls (RWH) Emily Sweeney from the U.S.A., Austria’s Nico Gleirscher and Andrei Bogdanov/Andrei Medvedev (RUS) are the Winners of the Nationscup in Innsbruck-Igls. The Bronze Medallist of the 2019 World Champion Ships in Winterberg relegated Anna Berreiter from Germany and Ekaterina Katnikova from Russia to second and third place. Nationscup is the qualifying race for the season’s opener in Viessmann Luge World cup this weekend in Innsbruck-Igls.

Nico Gleirscher, younger brother of Olympia Champion David Gleirscher, won men’s race in front of Arturs Darznieks from Latvia and Johnny Gustafson, the renieging Champion the U.S.A.

Bogdanov-Medvedev won the doubles race. Second place went to Tristan Walker/Justin Snith, Silber Medallists of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games of PyeongChang (KOR) with Team Canada. Austria’s new double with Yannick Müller-Armin Frauscher finished third.
