End of season for Sandra Robatscher after a crash in training
Berchtesgaden (FIL) The 24-year-old Sandra Robatscher, ninth at the 2020 World Championships and two-time Olympic participant from Italy, will be eliminated for the entire season after a training crash. Robatscher had a serious fall during international training at the Bavarian Königssee and suffered a shoulder injury.
Sandra Robatscher said: "After the crash in the labyrinth at Königssee, I had to undergo my third shoulder surgery. But I'm staying strong and will come back even stronger," said the South Tyrolean, who won her first World Cup in Altenberg in winter 2019.
Italy's head coach Kurt Brugger regrets the injury very much: “It is really a pity that Sandra won't be able to start this winter. She was currently doing very well in training. We wish Sandra a quick recovery!”
