Lake Placid (RWH) Olympic bronze medallist Erin Hamlin heads the US selection for the next luge season, the US Luge Association (USLA) has announced in Lake Placid. A further seven 2014 Olympic competitors have been selected for the national team, which made a total of thirteen Viessmann World Cup podium appearances during the 2014/2015 season. Hamlin, who also won the World Championships in 2009, is joined on the women's team by Summer Britcher, Emily Sweeney, Julia Clukey and Raychel Germaine. The men are represented by Chris Mazdzer, who came fifth in the overall rankings both in the winter of the Olympics and in the 2014/2015 season, Tucker West, who won the Viessmann World Cup in Lake Placid, and Olympian Aidan Kelly. In the doubles, Matt Mortensen–Jayson Terdiman have been selected for the national team, as have the recently formed teams of Jake Hyrns–Anthony Espinoza and Justin Krewson–Andrew Sherk.
