Altenburg (RWH) Olympic Bronze medalist Erin Hamlin has improved the track record of Altenberg, Germany. The former World Champion of Remsen, New York clocked in time of 52,586 seconds and lowered the old record of Natalie Geisenberger (52,895). Second and third place in the qualification race for the Viessmann Luge World this weekend went to Sandra Robatscher and Natalia Wojtusciszyn of Poland. Men’s race was won by Germany’s Ralf Palik, who realized a new track record (53,778 seconds) as well. Second and third place went to Inars Kivlenieks of Latvia and Italy’s David Mair. In double’s race Germany’s Robin Geueke-David Gamm relegated Tristan Walker-Justin Snith of Canada and Lukas Broz-Antonin Broz of Czech Republic to second and third place.
