Oberhof (pps) European runner-up Corinna Martini of Germany had to put a premature end to her season. As agreed with Germany’s head coach Norbert Loch, the 25 year-old from Winterberg will now be trying to cure her spinal problems once and for all. Possibly, Martini might even have to undergo surgery. The sixth of the 2009-2010 overall World Cup rankings had seized a starting place within the German team for the Viessmann Luge World Cup, but then her plans were thwarted when she suffered from back aches. Even intensive treatments in Bad Wiessee have not ameliorated the back problems of the two-time junior World bronze medallist.
