Reichenau an der Rax, Austria (RWH) The next meeting of the Executive Board of the International Luge Federation (FIL) will be focusing on the forthcoming season. The items on the agenda for the two-day meeting on 18–19 September to be held in Reichenau an der Rax (AUT) mainly concern issues relating to the next luge winter. New to the Executive Board is Chris Mazdzer of the USA, who is now a voting member in his capacity as Chairman of the FIL Athletes’ Commission. The meeting will consider a report on the status of preparations for the second Youth Olympic Games (12–21 February 2016) in Lillehammer (NOR), as well as reports from FIL President Josef Fendt and Secretary General Svein Romstad (USA) on the latest decisions taken by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). At the end of July, the IOC selected the Chinese capital of Beijing to host the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and the Swiss city of Lausanne to host the third Youth Olympic Games.
