Feeling of Success for Aileen Frisch in PyeongChang

PyeongChang (RWH) Happy end of an unhappy year: Ten months after her crash in Oberhof, Korea’s Aileen Frisch celebrated a feeling of success and won a luge race in PyeongChang, Korea. Due to lack of competitors, the race however did not count as official Championship of Asia. Frisch, who finished 8th at the 2018 Olympic Games, relegated her team-mate Hyesun Jung to second place. Men’s race was won by Te-an Lien from Taipei. In 2020-2021 the Alpensia Sliding Centre will host the final of the Viessmann Luge World Cup.
In several other classes, starting from lower start heights, luge athletes from Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines and host Korea were at the start.
