Calgary (pps) Germany’s Junior World Champion Felix Loch claimed the victory at the Nations Cup at Calgary (CAN) and qualified easily for the Viessmann World Cup on Friday and Saturday. Regan Lauscher from Canada took the success in the women’s race; the double’s competition was won by Canada’s brothers Mike and Chris Moffat.
The just 17 year old Loch won in 45.213 seconds followed by Russia’s Viktor Kneib (45.225) and local hero Sam Edney (45.232).
Regan Lauscher, who realized the best result ever in a Viessmann World Cup for Canada with her second place in Lake Placid, won in 45.532 seconds. Second place went to Austria’s Nina Reithmayer (47.615) and Martina Kocher (47.648) from Switzerland.
In the double’s race, Chris and Mike Moffat won in 44.519 seconds followed by Latvia’s Andris Sics/Juris Sics (444.583) and Austria’s Peter Penz/Georg Fischler (44.637).
