Sigulda (RWH) The record-holding World Champion in the men’s singles is an Italian named Armin Zöggeler. But at the age of just 25, Germany’s Felix Loch is hot on the heels of the gifted South Tyrolean athlete. During the course of his exceptional career, Zöggeler collected a total of six gold medals, three silvers and one bronze at the World Championships organized by the International Luge Federation (FIL). As we approach the 45th FIL World Championships in Sigulda on February 14-15, 2015, Loch already has four gold and one silver medal in the men’s singles from previous championships. In third place in the everlasting medals list is three-time Olympic Champion Georg Hackl of Germany with three golds, seven silvers and one bronze.
