FIL and Beijing sign off on principles document

FIL + BOCOG

Shanghai (RWH): The International Luge Federation (FIL) and the Organisation Committee for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing (CHN) (known as BOCOG for short) have signed up to a joint principles agreement. The document, known as the Sport Delivery Plan Principles Document SDP, was signed by the FIL’s Secretary General Einars Fogelis and Tong Lixin, Director of BOCOG’s Sports department.

The document, which was signed as part of the Chinese National Public Ice and Snow Season Opening event in Shanghai (CHN), governs the collaboration between the FIL and the BOCOG Organisation Committee in the run-up to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. BOCOG and the international Olympic Committee (IOC) believes strongly in involving the international Olympic associations in its operations. The details of these operations will be defined in an additional document and then implemented in a step-by-step process. The goal of the agreement is to make sure the FIL provides BOCOG with the best possible support in organising and running the Olympic luge events, as well as any preceding test events.
