FIL Congress to mark the federation’s 60th anniversary

Constanța (RWH) The 65th Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Constanța, Romania, will mark the federation’s 60th anniversary. The “Federation de Luge de Course” was established in the year 1957 in Davos (SUI) by delegates from 13 countries and will now celebrate its 60th anniversary June 16/17, 2017. Voce President Harald Steyrer will collaborate with Herbert Wurzer in making a presentation for the occasion.
In addition to reports from President Josef Fendt (GER) and Secretary General Svein Romstad as well as the financial reports from Harald Steyrer (AUT), the agenda of the Congress will also include the awarding of Championships, plus several elections in various committees of the World Federation. The Chairman for Legal Affairs along with its members, the Ethic Authority, and the Chairman of the Court of Arbitration and its members will be elected.
Constanța represents the first time Romania hast hosted an FIL Congress. Vatra Dornei, Romania, was the first venue for the 21st FIL World Championships on Natural Track last winter.
