Autumn Meeting in Slovenia
Zreče (pps) At the Autumn Meeting of the Executive Board of the International Luge Federation (FIL), numerous decisions have been taken to set the course for the upcoming Olympic winter. Approximately four months prior to the Opening ceremony in Sochi (Russia) on February 7, 2014, the FIL Executive Board appointed the Jury members as well as the Technical Delegates for the Viessmann Luge World Cup series. Additionally, the rules and regulations with regard to the Sprint Cup in the 2013-2014 winter were determined. The Executive Board also decided on the schedule for the post-Olympic season in 2014-2015.
To start off the Autumn Meeting, the Executive Board met for a joint dinner with Slovenia’s National Federation, headed by President Milan Sirse. The President of the National Olympic Committee of Slovenia, Janez Kocjančič, as well as Secretary General Tone Jagodic were also attending the event. Slovenia’s NOC supports and appreciates the activities of the National Luge Federation and hopes for an Olympic qualification for the upcoming Winter Games.
