Berchtesgaden (pps) As expected, the Executive of the International Luge Federation, FIL, approved the proposal submitted by the Sports Commission and extended the test phase of the new World Cup regulations until the end of the season. The proposal also included small modifications in practice and grouping.

Accordingly, the members of Group A will get six instead of five training runs in the three remaining World Cup events at Winterberg, Igls and Koenigssee. The men’s seeded group will be reduced from 18 to 15. In the women’s event, ten athletes are seeded, in the doubles eight.
