Fürth/Germany (pps) The International Luge Federation, FIL, has extended its contract with its long-time partner Uvex until the end of the 2017-2018 season. Uvex has been providing high-tech Kevlar helmets for more than 25 years, thus greatly improving safety standards in the sport of luge.

On the occasion of the contract signing, Uvex Managing Director Michael Winter emphasized the fair partnership and cooperation with the International Luge Federation. FIL President Josef Fendt underscored the progress of the standard helmet compared to the “bathing caps” in the early years of luge.
