FIL Family mourns Alexander Starkov

Berchtesgaden (FIL) On 10 May 2021, Alexander Pavlovich Starkov passed away at the age of 75 after a long illness. The President of the Kazakhstan Luge Federation was held in high respect due to his great commitment in the FIL family. 

FIL President Einars Fogelis: "We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and athletes. Alexander Starkov was very committed to the sport of luge and has greatly supported the sport and the athletes. We very much hope that the sport of luge will continue to be of great importance in Kazakhstan and that Alexander Starkov's successful work and legacy will continue."
