FIL gold medal of honour awarded to Chi-You Hsu

Lake Placid (RWH)  Chi-You Hsu from Taipei has been awarded a gold medal of honour by the International Luge Federation (FIL). The 90-year old, who was Vice President for Asia for nearly four decades, received the award at the start of the 64th FIL Congress in Lake Placid, NY. Hsu, the long-standing deputy director of the Forest Bureau in his native Taiwan, had previously been appointed Honorary Vice President. Chi-You Hus was not present in Lake Placid..

The FIL silver medal of honour was awarded to Michal Jasnosz (POL), Peters Cimanis, Dace Gods-Romanovska (LAT), Aivars Kalnins, Dr Zane Kruze, Janis Liepa and Janis Ozolnins.

The bronze medal of honour was awarded to the Germans Peter Rühl, Volker Schönhuber and Peter Lamprecht, Dace Abeltina (LAT), Milan Gerdelán (SVK), Liliya Leontievna Korolchuk (RUS), Igor Viktorovich Karasev (RUS), Petr Ivanovich Dolgikh (RUS) and Yevgeny Ivanovich Gonchar (RUS).
