Victories went to Germany and Italy

Paramonovo (pps) The first artificially-iced track in Russia, situated in Paramonovo, has experienced its international baptism of fire staging the FIL Junior World Cup. Junior World Champion Julian von Schleinitz started the new winter with a victory. In a total time of one minute 37.729 seconds he won followed by his team-mates Robert Fischer (1.097 seconds back), Sascha Beneken (1.483 back) and Ralf Palik (1.512 back), Fifth place went to Italy’s Ludwig Rieder (1.542 back).

In the women’s race Germany’s Dajana Eitberger took victory back home. She won in a total time of one minute 37.206 seconds followed by her team-mates Lisa Schwab .087 seconds back), Lisa Liebert (.161 back). Forth place went to Austria’s Mona Wabnigg (.706 seconds back).

Italy, represented by Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner, dominated the doubles race. Second place went to Nico Walther/Nico Grünneker from Germany and Russia’s Andrej Bogdanov/Andrej Medvedev.
