The International Luge Federation FIL mourns the loss of Karl Mitterrutzner. The South Tyrolean died of cancer on January 8th at the age of 56.
For decades, Karl Mitterrutzner was a central figure as a fitness trainer for Luge athletes on Natural Track in the Italian winter sports association FISI. He leaves behind his wife and two children. The funeral service in the church of Feldthurns (ITA) begins on Saturday, January 11, at 2:30 p.m.
