FIL President Fendt and Secretary General Romstad at IOC in Rio

Rio de Janeiro (RWH)  President Josef Fendt (GER) and Secretary General Svein Romstad (USA) will be representing the International Luge Federation (FIL) at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The duo have already been invited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to attend the 129th IOC Session prior to the Games. The Summer Olympics are set to open on 5 August with the traditional opening ceremony before culminating in the official closing ceremony on 21 August.

The FIL held its 52nd Congress in Rio de Janeiro in 2004. The metropolis around Sugerloaf Mountain is also the birthplace of Secretary General Svein Romstad.
