Kuala Lumpur (RWH) The President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Josef Fendt from Germany, and Secretary General Svein Romstad from the USA, attended various events at the 126th Session of the International Olympic Committee in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Immediately after the election of Beijing, China, as the host of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the FIL leaders, who attended the Session at the invitation of the IOC, met with the mayor of the Chinese capital and bid committee chairman, Mr Wang Ashun. Fendt and Romstad also represented the FIL at the meeting of the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF) and a number of other organisations. Their agenda further included a meeting with the President of the Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, Korea (POCOG).
