Tbilisi/Georgia (pps) The President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Josef Fendt from Berchtesgaden, met with David Bakradze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, in Tbilisi for an exchange of ideas. Fendt visited Georgia in order to participate in a memorial ceremony for the fatally injured luge athlete Nodar Kamaritashvili.
FIL President Fendt seized the opportunity of his visit to Georgia to also discuss the further development of the sport of luge with Gia Natsvlishvili, the President of Georgia’s National Olympic Committee, and his first Vice-President, Dr. Ramaz A. Goglidze.
