Nagano (RWH) The President of the International Luge Federation, Josef Fendt of Germany, has just visited Nagano, Japan, which hosted the Winter Olympics in 1998. Accompanied by Secretary General Svein Romstad (USA) and Koji Kuriyama, FIL’s coordinator for Asia, Fendt’s agenda included a trip to the artificial track and a meeting with Nagano Mayor Hisao Kato (bottom photo, front row, 2nd from right) with a view to increasing the number of international races held on the 1998 Olympic track.
