Nagano (pps) The President of the International Luge Federation, FIL, Josef Fendt from Berchtesgaden, will act as a FIL representative at the 4 th Viessmann Luge World Cup in Nagano, Japan. With his visit the managing director of the market community of Berchtesgaden wants to emphasise the importance of the 1998 Olympic track for the international sport of luge.

Despite the high travel expenses to Japan, a dozen nations have entered the last event of the Viessmann Luge World Cup prior to the Christmas break. Already three Viessmann World Cup events have been carried out in Nagano. Apart from the 1998 Olympic Winter Games, the “spiral” has hosted the 2004 FIL World Championships.
