Kindberg (FIL) The third World Championships of the Juniors in the sport of luge on natural track will have already been history in exact two months. As event organizer, the training centre for the sport of luge in Kindberg with its Chairman, Mr. Ferdinand Baier, went to great trouble within the past few weeks and months to prepare this great international event in the "Mürztal" as best as possible. As the President of the Organization Committee, Mr. Karl Heinz Vollmann continued to explain, the whole population and traders are very positive-minded. During the past weekend of the first Advent, the President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Mr. Josef Fendt, visited Kindberg and could convince himself personally of the preparations for the World Junior Championships. President Fendt was accompanied by the Executive Director of the FIL, Mr. Hartmut Kardaetz and the World Cup Coordinator for Natural Track Luge, Mr. Herbert Wurzer. The event organizer earned the greatest deal of praise for their work at the track. Although there is no snow up to now, the new route of the track is more or less ready for the race competitions. As soon as there will be the first degrees below zero, the snow cannons are ready for being used, as the first ASKÖ Federal qualifying competition is scheduled for December 13th to 14th, 2003. Now everyone in the upcoming luge metropolis looks forward to low temperatures; then, nothing should stand in the way of completing the track.
