FIL President visits International Sports Forum in Russia

Nizhny Novgorod (RWH) The President of the International Luge Federation, Germany’s Josef Fendt, has visited the International Sports Forum in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Fendt was invited by Natalia Gart, president of the national luge federation of Russia. The national federation installed a booth in preparation of the 49th Luge World Championships in Sochi and the European Championships in natural track in Moscow in the upcoming season.

At a meeting of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin with various representatives of Sport Organisations, Fendt used the opportunity to invite Putin to the World Championships in mid-February 2020 at the Sanki Sliding Centre. In a further meeting with Pavel Kolobkow, the minister of sport, Fendt, who invited Mr Kolobkow as well to the World Championships, discussed the problem of transportation to Sochi, the situation of the track in Paramonovo and matters of natural track. Natalia Gart invited Russia’s Head of State as well.
