Berchtesgaden (FIL) Six months before the start of the 2022/2023 season, the International Luge Federation, FIL, publishes its luge calendar for the artificial track.

Nine EBERSPÄCHER Luge World Cups in seven countries and on two continents are planned. The highlight of the winter will be the 51st FIL World Championships from 27 to 29 January 2023 in Oberhof, Thuringia.

Luge elite starts with double World Cup in Innsbruck
Innsbruck in Tyrol will welcome the international luge elite for the season's opening double World Cup in calendar weeks 47 and 48 (November 25-27 and December 2-4). Afterwards, the world's best lugers will travel to North America.

Park City (USA) back on the calendar for the first time since 2016
Whistler, Canada (08 - 10 December) and then Park City, USA (15 - 17 December 2022) will host the EBERSPÄCHER World Cups number three and four. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting travel restrictions, no World Cup races could be held in North America in the past two winters. The 2010 Olympic track in Whistler was last a World Cup track in 2019, while the 2002 Salt Lake City artificial track hosted the last luge World Cup in 2016.

Immediately after the Christmas break, the lugers will head to the fifth World Cup stop in Sigulda, Latvia (06. - 08. 01. 2023) and from there on to Norway. The 6th EBERSPÄCHER World Cup will be held from 13 to 15 January 2023 on the 1994 Olympic track in Hunderfossen near Lillehammer. In the so-called race-in-race mode, Lillehammer will also see the 54th FIL European Luge Championships.
