(ck) - Last weekend, September 3rd and 4th, 2011, 29 international referees from three countries met in Olang, Italy, to discuss past and future scenarios. Under the guidance of Heinz Schiller, FIL chairman of natural track referees, first the two past seasons were analyzed. After a short but tricky entrance test for all attending referees the various tasks for referees during training and competition were discussed and critical situations were explained. The 29 referees from Italy (21), Germany (3) and Austria (5) met for almost 5 hours. At the end of their meeting the FIL vice presidents for Sport and Technical Affairs, Herbert Wurzer and Alfred Jud, informed the referees about the key issues of the organizers’ meeting for the upcoming natural track season. This event was also held in Olang at the same time and had been attended by FIL president Josef Fendt. Afterwards Herbert Wurzer invited all referees to dinner on behalf of the FIL.
